As I sat in the theater watching the previews of the upcoming movies showing, my wife turns to me and says, "I can't believe that we are here to see the fifth movie in a series". As I thought about this, I agreed. Yet every Die Hard movie keeps you full throttle in action, great special effects, and story lines. Bruce Willis can still pull these off after 17 years. We were both impressed with the new edition, and look forward to #6!!!!! For anyone who likes action films, this is a must go.

I expected more from this latest installment of the "Die Hard" franchise but "A Good Day to Die Hard" wasn't really anything special. Bruce Willis was average, just like the rest of the cast, the directing was nothing short of decent and as an action-flick, it didn't really fire on all cylinders in the way I expected. Honestly, this movie just signifies that the franchise is getting stale. I honestly expected better.

This is the fifth in the 'Die Hard' series with Bruce playing the New York cop that gets into impossible situations . This one takes place in Russia , where Bruce goes to help his son , Jai , who has gotten himself arrested [and you know , there is nothing like a Russian prison] . Mary , who played Bruce's daughter in the last one , returns in the same role here [only it's a lot smaller part] . Cole plays an associate of Jai's that is helping in Russia . The plot concerns the theft of nuclear weapons in Russia and there are lots of action sequences taking place [car chases , gunfire , explosions , etc.] . Admittedly , some things are not too plausible [fantastic looking stunts and certain plot points] but it is very entertaining [although over the top] . "Yippee Ki-Yay, #@%$"
I would buy this on Blu-Ray .
