How old is John McClain? He's been shot, stabbed, blown up, cut to ribbons, beaten half to death, and nearly nuked on multiple continents, and not only is he fit as a fiddle, he's still got a job with the NYPD. In the last movie, he had to make amends with his estranged daughter. In this movie, he has to make amends with his estranged son. In Die Hard Six, he'll have to make amends with his household pets. The movie had it's moments; McClain was funnier than I remember from the previous films and the gun play and explosions were good. None of it was good enough to justify IMAX charging $32 for two tickets in sad old Buffalo, NY. It's not like this was some cinematic masterpiece. Wait for the video.

Once this film got going it was non-stop action. There was no need for much dialouge since the bulletts were always flying and cars were wrecking. A good movie to see if you just want to sit back and enjoy.

It's just really sad that people decide they want to add to a memorable franchise with a movie that's slapped together poorly. I would honestly compare this piece of junk to Indiana Jones 4.. it's that bad. There are NO memberable scenes. No tense moments... I happened to glance at the critical reviews and the ones that Fandango is offering i completely agree with. I won't go into detail.. all you have to do is read the first couple sentences of the critical reviews offered here in Fandango and i'd have to say they're pretty much spot on. I am in my late thirties and grew up watching all the Die Hard movies and have always adored them as have my father and brothers. This movie was so bad however, that i even became annoyed with the main character believe it or not. I mean this is BAD in every way. no character development, horrible directing and camera editing, terrible pointless action sequences, bad dialogue, no real climax and you really never care about any of the characters BAD

this movie is like most "Die Hard" movies but isn't that what we want? it was worth going to see and I enjoyed the action. Bruce is Die Hard and now with a son in the action I see more coming. I will tell others to see it. I saw it in IMAX and am not sure that was worth it but I really enjoyed the movie.

The IMAX sound system made the explosions rumble in the theater but the rest was muddled. Had several times where I couldn't understand what was being said.
The movie is a good action movie but a poor Die Hard movie. Like most sequels it relies on viewers being familiar with the previous movies and doesn't bother to explain or make you care about the characters this time around.
