I LOVE the Die Hard movies and this one is no different! Lots of action and cynicism.... the perfect combination for a Die Hard/Bruce Willis movie!

HAPPY TO SEE JOHN McCLANE BACK THE ON THE BIG SCREEN...
ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THIS MOVIE WAS BULLY BAD ASS...ACTION GALORE, AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES ALL HELL BREAKS LOSS AND DOESN'T STOP TILL THE END. IMAX WAS JUST THE CHERRY ON TOP...DON'T LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE CRITICS EXPIERENCE THIS MOVIE FOR YOURSELF....ENJOYED THE HELL OUT OF IT...I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF THIS WILL REAWAKEN THE FRANCHISE, BY THE LOOKS OF IT I DON'T SEE WHY NOT?!!!!

Great chase scenes....interesting Moscow images....fantastic visuals....if you're gonna see it, must be in IMax....STUPID DIALOGUE!!!!
There must have been a writer's strike during the making of this movie...can't imagine that with all the money they spent making this, that they couldn't budget something for a real screenwriter!

This movie stays true to the formula, which isn't a terrible thing where the action is concerned. Willis plays the American cowboy-NYPD cop John MaClane again, and this time he's out to get his son out of a Russian prison. As it turns out, his son is on a mission and kicking butt runs in the family. This movie has some truly amazing car chases and explosion action sequences that are worth the price of admission on their own. If you want to see a 20-minute car chase, for example, that starts off with half a dozen 7-series BMWs getting blown up and just keeps on going for what seems like a very, very long time, this movie won't disappoint you. There are also several shoot-outs that include attack helicopters with very large caliber repeater canons. It's all good fun because Willis can pull off these intense action scenes in his sleep. The only disappointment is the story and dialog, but that's not the reason to go see this film.

As a loyal (must avoid pun...) Die Hard fan, I felt compelled to see the latest installment. It fully met the quotient for explosions, gun battles, death-defying action sequences and Bruce Willis trademark wise-assery. It all seemed, tired though - Bruce trotting out the old act to pick up multi millions. Bruce's co-star did not bring much to the party and would by no means be considered a "sucessor" to the McLain mayhem mantle.
If you do go to this movie, IMAX is the way to see it. The action scenes are terrific in this format, and the enhanced sound adds to the impact.
