However, as far as Indian movies go, takes you back to your parents generation (60s70s80s) style of plot...you know, either a love triangle or boys parent(s) gets unjustly murdered, boy grows up and exacts revenge...been there seen that. But well directed and again Hrithik perfornace was unbelievable.
Also typical for Indian movies...1/2 hour longer than it really needed to be...certain plot points dragged out...but you're prepared for this in Indian movies...and other plot points weren't developed enough and the scene/event hits you from left field. Cant elaborate too much w/o giving away details.
Priyanka is gorgeous as usual. I HATE Sanjay Dutt...he's just downright gross/disgusting human being...HOWEVER, this was THE perfect role for him...looked like Voldemort from Harry Potter...a gross/disguting looking monster.
One WARNING - NOT SUITABLE for kids under 12. Quite explicit violent scenes.

First half is pretty nice. Best performances from Rishi Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Hrithik. Chikni Chemeli song is superb. Best dance performance by Katrina Kaif, very good choreography. I din't like few negative shades given to Hrithik and also his role in the climax was not so powerful. Ending seemed little dragged.
Overall, can watch once for the best performances of the above.

A lot of changes have been made to the original version but its only for good. The screenplay looks better. Although Hrithik has a done a great job by his standards, you miss the vocality and persona of Big B associated with the former version. The heart of the movie was the introductory dialog of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, was nicely shot. Rishi Kapoor's cameo deserves an applause. Sanjay Dutt was absolutely amazing.
The movie was right on the money.
Go for it...

Supreme performances by Rishi kapoor and sanjay dutt, crisp editing and a good story (legacy) make this revenge drama a good one time watch. A mixed package is what it is - good background score but poor music, good action, but loose script.....and so on.
One time watch. That's about it.

Keep in mind, this is a 3 hour movie folks, bring snacks! Hrithik Roshan does carry this film, with his emotional performance and throw in his "Nicolas Cage" looks, he's very easy on the eyes. The movie is well shot, albeit the story line a bit predictable. Nevertheless, this is a good movie, if you are a cinephile and enjoy all genres, then you should see it. The "Bollywood" song and dance numbers, even though well done, I could have easily done without. Additionally, I don't see how song and dance numbers were appropriate to the story line; people are being brutally hung, shot and hacked to death, and the main character is involved in a vicious cocaine smuggling cartel, somehow, I don't see much to sing and dance about, but then maybe it's a cultural thing. Guess they are so happy about making all that ill~gotten money, they just have to break into a song & dance!
