Will and Jaden Smith did a great job of acting together in this movie. Lots of action and good lessons taught at the same time! I would love to see it again on the big screen! Jaden is definitely following in his father's acting abilities!

This is a great film! A wonderful Coming-of-Age drama of a boy coming into manhood and struggling to measure up to his Father's example and learn about himself! A wonderful first effort by Will and Jaden Smith! Intelligently written, emotional, good acting and above all...a profoundly HUMAN story! Great Film! I highly recommend it!

After Earth, the much anticipated summer blockbuster featuring the father son duet proves a dismal failure in terms of captivating the general interest of audience members. The film centers around an excavation mission to retrieve a beacon on the outer reaches of a hostile planet. Will Smith is forced to take a back seat as his son is forced to navigate a terrain where danger lurks at every corner. Armed with a retractable saber, his son is forced to deal battle with ferocious creatures and risk life and limb to reclaim the beacon. Ultimately the film falls short on momentum leaving audience members heading for the backdoor.
