Wow, wait a waste of good 35mm print!!

I went to see the movie on opening day, at the earliest time like I do all the movies I critique. Not only was I the only one in there, but the people at the cinemas asked me why I was going to see this movie! If that's not a sign that the movie is gonna be atrocious, then I don't know what is?! From the beginning I thought this movie was gonna be horrible, but I tried to give it a chance. I choked my way through what I guess I would call the middle, even though there was no distinguishable plot points to spice up the story. Group of men/women against another group of men/woman, lame. I like Michael Madsen and Vinnie Jones because even though I'm a critic, I still like them as actors; though this was not their best performance. The ending was the worst ending I have ever seen a film, period! It's not funny how many movies they bit off, but with a title like 'Tooth And Nail' I should have known. The After Dark crew need to do better if HFest '07 will be as successful as HFest '06.

Wow, I went in not expecting much and it still sucked

The movie starts out interesting enough; a narrator from 2012 explains that most of the world's population is dead. Not from disease, global warming, or war like most expected, but running out of gasoline as a resource.
Unfortunately, after that, the interest is gone. It does little more to explain what lead to the disaster, other than people started living in Anarchy and chaos.
So, going from there, we meet the narrator and his small "family" of refugees who live in an abandoned hospital. When they find and take in a newcomer into their home, they learn of the Rovers, a group of cannibals who kill and eat other survivors.
This movie offers nothing in the way of horror, and the ending is so atrocious that it's not even funny. The dark scenery, awful acting, predictable storyline, and hilariously bad lines make this movie nearly unwatchable.
But if you do go see it, expect to see the worst apocalypse-based movie you've ever seen. Enjoy!

    Very Very Poor!

    by geoVonE

I have to be honest, I fell asleep in it TWICE and probablly didn't miss a thing. It was that bad. The concept had a tiny bit of interest to it; an apocalypse due to a natural resource exhaustion. But the movie didn't really do anything of interest with that concept. Instead, it focused on the formula of a band of uninteresting humans protecting themselves from the enemy. There only seemed to be two scenes, a hospital and a factory. The night scenes looked like day scenes turned into night scenes by adjusting the contrast or something to that effect. They claim that the movie is about an hour and a half long, but it seemed like it went on for hours! Poor acting, poor explanation of the apocalypse, poor writing, poor visuals...
They showed dried up corpses in the drivers seat of stalled cars on the roads and bridges. Did their car run out of gas and they kept trying to restart it until they died and rotted? This After Dark Horrorfest is a scam!!
