Too many cooks (directors and screenwriters) might have spoiled the broth in this uninspired musical comedy based on a stage play by Ephraim Eishon. The basic plot ingredients are three students who want to pass a crucial archaeology exam but are not so certain they have what it takes. To make sure they do, they devise a plan to steal the exam before it is given and bone up on all the answers. First they make friends with the professor's daughter, and then his neighbor, and a friend of the daughter's. The trio believe that everything is going well but then they could not know that a telephone repairman has been privy to all their clandestine conversations.... ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
