Cute is nice, but nothing special

Admission is a fun, cute movie. It tries hard to be deep but doesn't really get there. Paul Rudd is his terrific, naturally care free self while Tina Fey is charmingly uptight and comical. Except f or the kid playing the student Paul and Tina are trying to get admitted into Princeton, the supporting staff doesn't do much in this movie and are surprisingly unlikable. That said, if you want a feel good, silly but down to earth movie, you'll enjoy this exaggerated look at two of the world of education's most extreme examples. If you go hoping for too much depth or too much comedy, you'll be disappointed. It's not necessarily laugh out loud funny, but is certainly a feel good, check your emotional fortitude kind of flick. Go have a good time, get some popcorn and a soda, and sit back and enjoy this satirical underdog education romp.

A cliché-ridden piece of crap. Poor acting and stupid script. And what about that supposed Russian professor of literature? I cannot believe how stupid this movie is.

Just Awful

I am a huge Tina Fey fan and was really looking forward to this movie. It was not funny, the story was strange and made no sense. Lily Tomlin was great and the only good part of the movie but you can't sit through this disaster just for her. Aren't these kinds of movies supposed to be heartwarming but I found myself cringing at every scene for being so awkward.

I love Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, but the story was lame. I thought I'd give it a shot, but shouldn't have. I did not lilke this film and would not recommend it to anyone.

Better than expected

I had no real expectations when I went to this movie, but I ended up enjoying it. It was an entertaining watch, funny and at times sad. The thing I enjoyed most about this movie was that I didn't expect the ending; it seemed to mirror real life more than an idealized ending. If you feel like getting out of the house and seeing a movie, this is a good one to go see.
