After running down two people on the tracks and discovering that a third within a month would result in a handsome pension, a sad-sack London Underground driver attempts to convince a depressed father to make that final, fateful leap so they can both get what they want. Two people have leapt in front of Paul (Mackenzie Cook)'s train in just the past week, leaving him depressed about his lot in life, and anxious about the future. Informed by his fellow drivers that he could be sitting pretty if one more person decided to dance on the tracks before the month is over, Paul goes looking for someone whose life isn't worth living. Depressed dad Tommy (Colm Meany) seems to fit the bill, but is he really willing to end it all, as promised? Imelda Staunton and Gemma Arterton co-star. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
