It was too fast and, as always, "the book was better"

The book was better because it detailed a lot more information. It does so because the auther writes the book as though it is a true History book of Abraham Lincoln and it makes you believe that those events actually took place. SPOILER ALERT: There was no great train wreckage scene in the book, like there was in the movie. There were events taken place on the train, but not as intense. My favorite part of the book was how Abraham and his family was once protected by 3 vampires that were part of the group of vampires who were trying to help the humans. I also like how (because of these 3 guards) it gave a theory of how the Secret Service was created to protect the president. Strict, serious and in black glasses. But, I guess the movie would be considered just an entertaining. This way, you get a visual of how Abraham handled his Axe and the cool moves he made with it. Mary Elizabeth Winston is incredibly sexy, even in those 1800 attire. I'd do her.

Who's Next?

I loved the movie as an action packed adventure. The special effects were great. I see now that Hollywood is now using historical figures like Edgar Allen Poe and now Abe Lincoln to create movies which is quite ingenious! Maybe Hollywood will create a horror flick using JFK and the space race where he finds out about space aliens but was assassinated before going public! Any interested script writers? MRODtheCritic.

My husband had read the book. I didn't really want to see it, but I went and really enjoyed the movie. It was suspenseful and intriguing. It really made me thing about our country during the Civil War. It was a little far-fetched in some scenes; however, I went in with an open mind. It was money well spent. Rated R due to the blood and killing, but it wasn't overly gory.

This movie was excellent with lots of action and little gore, the one who played Lincoln was great, the fight scene on the train was well done but was not my favorite part my favorite part was the end where the vampire that picked Lincoln to help him pick a new man to help him. I am only two chapters into the book and even only being a little bit into the book I saw big differences but I still will say if you liked the book this movie is a must see you won't be disappointed and even if you haven't read the book go see it if you like a great action movie The 3D was worth the extra price so if you have to choose betweeb stard and 3D go for the 3D

Fun Vampire action movie

Not sure what to expect with this movie at first. The story is fun as it weaves the battle for our country with the presidency of Abe Lincoln and the good vs evil of humans and vampires. I liked that it did not try, like so many other movies, show a coexistence plot. Neat little takes on vampire lore and such. The movie got the Vampires right in my opinion making them less obviouse. Hope you enjoy the action and the decent story.
