Watch It for your Country

I really liked this movie a lot. What a crazy concept...Abraham Lincoln as a hunter of vampires...and a really good one. The acting was good and it was exciting and suspenseful at times. They did a good job at developing the characters. There was a reasonable amount of blood and guts, so I wouldn't let the kiddies see it, but it should be a good time for anyone who enjoys a decent thriller.

The movie was okay. Had some good action and effects. It was also nice that it kept tying into various historical characters and events as part of the overall plot. It's worth going to see but not a GREAT movie.

Revisionist History

This movie will never be confused with Gone With The WInd or Casablanca simply based on the subject matter. That being said if you sell out and want to believe in what this movie wants you too its an ok 2 hours of your time. I would go see a matinee if you really want to see this as it really doesn't warrant the 12.50-13.50 you'll pay for prime time.

Wow, I was totally wrong! Thought it was going to be cheesy, but they wrote the movie into history pretty well. I was very entertained. Must watch if you are a fan of vampires and well carnage of coarse, very bloody and 3d was fun to watch!

change of plot

Having read the book, the movie definitely makes some plot changes that are pretty significant. There is much cut and much added, some good and some bad, but the overall integrity of the book is there. My main pet peeve was that some of the history was altered. Lincoln only had one child in the film… It's pretty gory, but that is to be expected. Action packed and good special effects.
