I enjoyed this movie! I thought it was going to be cheesy but it was suprisingly entertaining and the vampires were not beautiful and shimmery in the sunlight!

clever

went to see the ax fighting and found a clever story worked into American history. It's not the piano, but it was entertaining and the ax work was impressive.

Excellent!

Loved the film. One of the best movies. a little slow in the beginning but overall great movie. I loved the 3-D. Just go and see it very entertaining!

This was an excellent film. I am a huge Lincoln fan, so, it was especially thrilling for me. The story line, special effects and dialogue were all outstanding. A must see.

We need a President like this!

What a fun movie. I did not read the book, so I went into it with zero expectations. It wasn't so awfully gory because the Director did a great job not making blood so gruesome and will not make you sqeemish. Honest Abe can swing and AX!!!! You go Mr Prez!! My wife said after the horse stampede scene...."now THAT is a President"!!!! There were 3 or 4 absolutely classic scenes that you will never see at the movies! The more I think about the movie, the more I liked it, and that is not an easy accomplishment these days! Go see it, but don't expect anything, except some quality entertainment! Abe, you da maaaaan!

Went for the man...enjoyed the show and was left craving history on Abe

I enjoyed, was entertained and left the theater got on the phone and re-educated myself on ABE! You can skip the 3D version, it wasn't bad, but not necessary. The man said it was a lot like the book!

amazing special effects

didnt have high expectations for this movie, but it blew me away with it original set of special effects, the story was good too, very entertaining, ...i recommend this movie

Tim Burton rides again.....

I thought the movie was pretty good, particularly in 3D. Not one of those movies you wait to see on your television set from a CD. I had read the book, and thought the movie did not do it justice. Very little of the story came across on the screen. But, as a movie it was full of action and exciting scenes. The special effects were really pretty good. The acting could have been better. I would not recommend this film to little children, as some of the scenes were pretty brutal and bloody.

I loved this movie

This movie was excellent with lots of action and little gore, the one who played Lincoln was great, the fight scene on the train was well done but was not my favorite part my favorite part was the end where the vampire that picked Lincoln to help him pick a new man to help him.

I am only two chapters into the book and even only being a little bit into the book I saw big differences but I still will say if you liked the book this movie is a must see you won't be disappointed and even if you haven't read the book go see it if you like a great action movie

The 3D was worth the extra price so if you have to choose betweeb stard and 3D go for the 3D

Serious play on a historical figure doing unnatural things

Not much to say, if you like vampire movies and ones about maturing into the hero, this is good. A similar character progression like in Wanted with the film style and action of 300. Only two sexual reference scenes and the R rating is from the blood, dismemberment, and mature themes. My teenager enjoyed it.

The premise is ridiculous, of course. But the movie is a hoot! All you have to do is suspend belief and want to be entertained, without intervening social or political messages, and you will love this movie.

Actual history is woven into a CGI masterpiece. Go see it!

Who's Next?

I loved the movie as an action packed adventure. The special effects were great. I see now that Hollywood is now using historical figures like Edgar Allen Poe and now Abe Lincoln to create movies which is quite ingenious! Maybe Hollywood will create a horror flick using JFK and the space race where he finds out about space aliens but was assassinated before going public! Any interested script writers? MRODtheCritic.

Could be a future "It's so bad it's good" contender

Yeah, I rated this movie "SO-SO", but to be clear it is BAD! The special effects are amazing and it's only redeeming quality. The acting and everything that went into making the movie is okay, but the story is horrendous. I kept looking at my watch to see how much time was left. It wasn't quite bad enough to get up and leave. It would rate a "NO" if only for the fact that it will give me something to talk about and fond memories of seeing the movie with a friend. I wasn't upset I went but I wasn't far from there.
