I HATED IT
Both of my children attended a private Christian school form K3 until they graduated as high school seniors. This story, although famous and moving, is not as unique as some would imagine in such a school. I have known many other Christian families in similar fortunate financial situations who have invited a child like Michael into their lives. They sacrificed mightily and could have enjoyed a life of luxury, but chose instead to help others. Both of my children have seen this movie and see this type of love of an unfortunate person as the right thing to do and don't see it as unusual. My son and his wife have invited several very deprived people into their home and over time nursed them back into a productive fulfilling life. Their church is very supportive in such efforts. I was thrilled to see this movie portray a family like this as just what they are, a loving, decent family who couldn't imagine not doing what they did. My hat is off to John Lee Hancock for showing this!

This isn't a football movie. This is an inspirational christian movie you'll have to see.
Sandra Bullock was great. This would be a wonderful movie to take the family to on a holiday weekend.
