I haven't watched the first movie as most people have, so I was expecting this to be a run of the
mill, pointless movie. Needless to say I was rather impressed although I'm not sure if what helped the movie was the 3D and the fact I saw it in the Imax theater. I chose Must Go because if you think this movie will be bad, it'll prove you wrong.
I took my mother to see this movie and all I can really say is that it had the potential to be a
really good film but lacked in an actual overall plot. It's a basic movie telling a basic story about a family during a holiday that can easily be overlooked as you are not missing much, but the actors bring a little something to the screen that keeps you watching.
Coming from a Puerto Rican family (which was the main reason I went to see this), it was refreshing to see a lot of similarities between the on-screen family and ours (as there are not many latin based movies out nowadays) and although I don't regret watching this movie, the effect would have been the same had I waited for the dvd.
