Hobbit is the same formula as the other movies of the LoTR trilogy, and in that I was disappointed.
Lots of walking, and then the movie ends without anything getting accomplished.
There was some fun scenes, and special effects.
I liked the HFR though. The movie was very crisp, no grain from film stock. 3d didn't seem to leave me feeling tired/strained even after 3hrs.
Saw this last night with my 16yr old daughter. We both enjoyed it. The way the film was shot, the
contrasts between district 12 and the city was pretty amazing. I don't know how close the movie followed the book, but it was still worth while. I defiantly got the feeling there will be a sequel .
This movie is like a comic book come to life. Heroines with little clothing, fantasy that's larger
than life all set to a wild sound track. The plot is there, but thin with holes the size of the moon. It's visually stunning, but full of cliches.
