The movie actually could have used MORE humor, but I enjoyed it. Some of the acting reminded me of those Wayan's brothers Scary Movie 1,2, 3, 1thousand or however many trashy movies they made...so that part was more than disappointing. But Madea brings it everytime, and Tyler Perry just gets more and more talented as an actor. Sometimes I wonder how he does it and how he keeps stretching himself. The man is a truly artful genius. I like how Tyler spent more time with the old man, and spent time developing his character his story and his humor. The old man's character is absolutely HILARIOUS and what makes this movie even more of a trip is that some of the humor is very true to life for those of us from Atlanta (or other related southern areas). There were some scenes where I was like "OMG that is my family, or OMG that is my wife's family WOW we've heard/witnessed that in real life." ...(read more)
I am so satisfied by this movie. I saw it twice, and I want to see it again. Even my wife liked it a lot!!! If you haven't seen this movie - WTF?@!?!?!?!? If you've seen it only once - go see it again now! If you've only seen it regular/digital - go see it IMAX Real 3D - it's a totally different experience Great storyline, amazing actions scenes, one of the best SuperHero fighting scenes since the Dark Knight (but not better than the Dark Knight of course, that movie goes down in history as a legend). This movie if my first MUST GO! rating on Fandango since the Dark Knight...honestly, it really is. They did a great job, and I cannot think of anything wrong with this movie at all...which is tough for me to say because I'm typically a tough critic! Way to go, Marvel...you brought it! ...(read more)
For true, genuine Spider-Man fans...this movie was a SEVERE let down. 1. Altered comic stories 2. Over-dramatized hero 3. Tragic loss of Spider-Man's obsession over her secret identity (in this Spider-Man movie I think he revealed his identity to like 45 people, ridiculous, that is NOT who Spider-Man is...the man is typically obsessed with his secret identity) I can go on and on about this part; Plus I really could have done without the scene of Spider-Man taking Gwen on a spider-date - someone shoot me now! Kinda made the movie a bit teenage-drama'ish. Now it was GOOD because this was the first Superhero movie I have ever seen that spent adequate time on Character & Plot Development. Superhero movies are typically charged with the crime of jumping right into action without a well-constructed storyline. The Amazing Spider-Man gets an A+ on character development. In fact, that is probably the sole reason why I am a fan of this movie. Confession: I liked The Amazing Spider-Man!!! ...(read more)
SImple, MIB 1 was good, MIB 2 was better, MIB 3 was worse than all three but not terrible. I enjoyed it just to see Will & Tommy Lee back together was great. The story line was a little bit weak, and the comedy was mild. Truthfully, as I'm writing this review I am thinking "why did I click this as a go?" well...it's like a bad quality Jordan shoe (if you're into Jordans) you get it because of the name. I saw MIB because it's MIB, and I like MIB. If you like it, you gotto go see it. But make sure to guard your expectations. Convince yourself that you are paying $10 - $20 for a decent TV show. ...(read more)
