I must admit that I am a big fan of the Final Destination series (well, except for the third, but
we'll get back to that). The latest is the fourth in the series (and you can be sure there will be more), and it's in 3-D. It's the same formula (and I don't mean Formula One): fresh-faced youths miss death by disaster thanks to one of them having a premonition, but even though they escape the first blockbuster tragedy, they somehow can't cheat the reaper, so they get knocked off as the movie goes on. The perverse fun is seeing how death claims its due, and the fourth in the series has some real doozies.
The most clever are the scenes of the movie-within-a-movie, where theatre-goers may or may not survive an explosion while watching a 3-D film.
