Don’t need a momma to tell me this movie is funny. Trent’s out of high school and he got a letter
that he is accepted into Duke University. Trent would rather be a rapper by the name of Prodi-G. So one day he’s approached by a record label but the contract needs a guardian’s signature since he’s only 17. Malcolm (Martin Lawrence) doesn’t sign the paper since he thinks it would be better if Trent (Brandon T. Jackson) stays in school. So Trent follows Malcolm on a stake-out to see if he can force him to sign the record contract, but finds himself witnessing a murder by a Russian bad guy. Malcolm has a plan to hide the both of them until they catch the murder at the Georgia Girls School of the Arts. Hilarious. All around great comedy/crime story for all ages, but it is pg-13. I think this one is the funniest out of the franchise. I think people will now have confidence in watching another Martin Lawrence Film. Loved it 4 out of 5 stars.
A forbidden love between Gnomeo (James McAvoy) and Juliet (Emily Blunt). 2 feuding garden gnome
families living side by side had an unusual event occur. The kids of the leaders of each family fell in love. The only thing Gnomeo and Juliet ever wanted was to be with each other every waking moment. Based on Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet. It’s rare that in this day and age a movie for kids are made without any adult sub topics that the kids wouldn’t understand. This movie from head to toe is a enjoyable delight for 12 and under but I think the older kids like me will get a kick out of it too. I wouldn’t expect anything less from the greatest place on earth people. Thank You Disney. 4 out of 5 stars
Created from a true event. A 3-D action thriller. A team of divers were doing an expedition of a
cave known to be the largest cave on Earth. A storm traps the divers in the cave and there’s no way out. Only thing to do is to continue through the cave system and find a path that they believe will lead them to sea. The story is not the best but it works. The 3D cinematography however is off the charts. Since Avatar in 2009 James Cameron has elevated the standards for 3D. Example: A divers light is moving from left to right and you can see the beam pass over your face as if you were in the water with that person. This is definitely NOT A CONVERTED FILM. From beginning to end shot in 3D with 3D cameras. Loved it 5 out of 5 stars
Two of the best knights during the Christian Crusades deserted from the war after seeing woman and
children being slaughtered. Years later they return home only to find that a plague had hit their homeland. The two run into some soldiers who recognize them as deserters, and they were quickly taken to the Cardinal. The priest with one last request from the church tells them to take a witch to a far away castle where a bunch of elite monks would perform a ritual to take away the witches powers which they believed would get rid of the plague. When they get to the abbey, all is not what the knights thought it would be. Their trip ends up turning into a battle between good and evil. With everything they went through, they still kept their vows of loyalty to the church. Very entertaining. Cage and Perlman work great together and I hope they do more movies in the future. It’s not all about the witch like the trailer tends to show but please give it a chance. 4 stars out of 5
Lisa (Reese Witherspoon) has been on the USA Softball Team for many years and her whole life has
been devoted to sports as far as she can remember. This year the USA Softball Team Coach has decided to let Lisa go. Confused on what to do, she tries to live a regular life. Normalness journey begins with a relationship with Matty (Owen Wilson) a ladies’ man and a major league pitcher. They both decide to try living together but this turns out to be uncharted waters for the both of them. The Fed’s are investigating George (Paul Rudd) for a financial crime that his Dad committed and his Dad (Jack Nicholson) wants his son to do the jail time for him. George meets Lisa in a elevator at the same building where Matty and Charles live. Together they find themselves in a romance that seems to work. Film pace slow, jokes miss-fired, Matty’s cluelessness annoying, FBI investigation not needed and George being to dorky, made it a rocky road cookie with no flavor. 2 out of 5 stars
