I love the Arctic and iMax films so we drove 65 miles one way to a natural history museum to take
our kids to see this. Within 10 minutes my 5 year old was crying because all the polar bears were dying due to climate change. There was a constant drumbeat of "Bad Human for destroying the Arctic" throughout the movie. Never mind that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Department say that the polar bear population has increased 500% in the last 50 years (5,000 to 25,000). This film continues to hype the hoax of man-made climate change killing all the bears.
I am VERY disappointed that a beautifully made movie with stunning imagery could not go 5 minutes without returning to the, "We are killing our planet" lecture instead of teaching you about Polar Bears and the other inhabitants of this fascinating part of our world. I expected a bit of the "green speak" at the beginning or the end, but this is the only theme of the film. So if you do not want the lecture, save your money.
