This was a totally enjoyable movie for Dads, Moms, and kids. This is probably more of a Father, Son
movie overall. I would consider this an animated action film. The computer animation is some of the most realistic I've seen to date. It is definitely in the vain of Raider's of the Lost Ark. I took my 11 year old daughter to see it. She enjoyed it although a couple of the parts were a little intense for her. I was able to enjoy the movie with her and not feel overwhelmed by "kid influences" The 3D IMAX was fun. The 3D effect took a little to get used to at the very beginning, like looking at a "Magic Eye" poster. Once your involved its done well and not a lot of "in your face" effects just for the sake of 3D. There are a couple of the action scenes where the 3D effect makes the scene confusing and hard to focus. This is, in my opinion, a must see in the theatre unless you have a really large screen at home.
