Though the movie is not about horses, but about Buck Brannaman - one of the original natural
horsemen. His personal story had such a sad beginning but it was heartening to see him turn his life around and make such a difference to people and their horses. He has an amazing supporting cast in his personal life. The movie is a documentary...don't expect high action...though I did want to leap out of my seat and strangle the woman with the stud colt (seriously? 18 stud colts? And horse she's laughing about it??) That section and the entire movie re-emphasized for me the fact that people who take on young horses have a responsibility to get the started off correctly in their lives. Broken back or not, you are taking another life into your hands. It's a serious thing, not one to be back-burnered because you "haven't had time" to castrate your colt, or handle him, or teach him anything. Loved the section about The Horse Whisperer, wonderful movie!
