I really wanted this movie to be a powerful, demanding, condemning, film that made me think hard
about life. You know - the way the original film did the first time I saw it.
I did not dislike the movie. I am glad that I went to see it. But I was just a little sad as I left the theater and realized that with all the technology and wizardry that film has at the beginning of this century the industry seems to have lost its ability to move people and make them consider the need for profound change. What I found is that this is not a movie that makes you think, and it is not a "really cool" sci-fi thriller. It is just a lukewarm color version of a great piece of film history.
My partner liked it. I fell asleep. BORING. And I really wanted to like it... too bad
