    Let Down but still Love

    Being a huge fan of the books and having read the books mulitiple times I was aware of what this movie would cover. I think we were all looking forward to more intimacy between Bella and Edward, but I feel robbed of the enjoyment because of the super cheesey constant backround music that took so much away from the mood. On this note the thing I was most disappointed by was the music. All of the other movies had great soundtracks, with songs that refelected perfectly scenes and vibes. I didn't hear one good or even memorable song in the whole movie, with the exception of the songs they reused from previous movies. Hello Muse? Steph herself has said that they inspired her writing the books and they ARE part of the franchise. Also didn't approve of the added scenes just to add more action. Over all I feel a little let down but I am still and will always be a TwiHard I would have loved to see this whole series brought to life by Catherine Hardwick her vision most closely reflected my own ...(read more)

    The Original

    This is by far my favorite movie of the series. To me it stays the closest to the vision I got when reading the books. Also it is subtle and smarter than the others, because it has not been adulterated by Hollywood. Catherine Hardwick really captured something special with this movie. You can tell she was passionate about the story and not cow towing to any movie big wigs. The makeup is more subtle, Edwards not so whiney, the hair isn't so rediculous etc.... Regardless, I love them all, I love the books, I love the story, I love having the visual candy of the movies and the soundtracks to these movies are THE BEST!! ...(read more)
