What an incredible way to see opera! It felt so much more accessible. I am not an opera goer or
aficionado but would like to know more but am held back by high priced tickets and the opera scene froo-frooness (probably mis-perceived). And opera + popcorn - what a way to go!
As for the opera itself - I loved the sub-titles so you know what's going on.I enjoyed they men's singing more than the lead female. She seemed a bit screechy. Because of the filming, when special pieces were played by the harpist, we were shown those. The audience at a live opera would not be privy to that. when It was also great to now know what Diva Plavalaguna was singing about in the movie, THE FIFTH ELEMENT.
I will be looking for more of these events. Bravo!
