I absolutely loved this movie.
A good movie has character(s) one can relate
to. If you look beyond the fact that the characters are animals -- penguins -- personified with human emotions, just look at what is happening and being said. Mumble's child, Erik, basically is just like he was when he was small. Very different, almost "weird," & made fun of for it. Laughed at. This is something I can identify with. Being laughed at for being "different" than everyone else. Well, it's uniqueness. Erik is very small, quiet, and unsure of himself. He has not found out who he is yet, but does not realize that this is normal for someone his age. A new character pops up in the plot called "Sven," and he teaches Erik that he can do anything if he absolutely wills it to be. He can close his eyes and focus strongly on what he wants to happen. Inspiring, funny, FUN, cute, adorable, GREAT MOVIE no matter what your age! Great animation, so real looking especially in 3D!
