My husband and I payed full price, but it is really worth matinee. It has a different way of
sequencing the film, thus called Vantage Point. So if you like films that start at the beginning and go straight through to the end, this film is not for you. Remember the Seinfeld episodes that start at the end. . . enough said. However, I liked it. I like seeing how the same sequence of events effects each person involved differently. I only wish they would have developed the relationships a little bit more. We are left to presume a great deal. There were loose ends, perhaps that is the way they want us to view it, remember No Country for Old Men? I am having trouble writing a review, cause I have mixed feelings about the film. Just go or rent it and you will understand.
I was dreading taking my son to this movie. It just did not look good to me. I couldn't wrap my
mind around what it was about. I was so pleasantly surprised. Every word from beginning to end had a purpose, everything connected and was resolved. I love a movie that goes right into the story and doesn't jumble alot of stuff together to make a simple point, Spiderwick Chronicles is entertaining, beautiful, and suspenseful. My nine year old really liked it, my 4 year old started to cry in two separate scenes. It is a little frightening a few times. The images of the creatures are quite graphic. The children were brilliantly cast and very talented. I can see us buying this DVD. The film is a little Chronicles of Narnia, and a little Harry Potter. We payed matinee, but worth full price.
