I saw this documentary at the Kansas Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, KS. I was very impressed. Tom
Brokaw was an excellent narrator. Helps one to see all that went into D-Day as far as the preparations, the gliders, the paratroopers and the various landings. Shows the French civilian population and underground as well as the aftermath of D-Day. This year, June 6, is the 70th anniversary of this momentous event that liberated Europe overrun by Nazi Germany. Everyone young and old should see this documentary as a tribute to those who gave so much, not only to preserve our freedoms, but also to liberate our allies. Young children probably won't understand it, but 8 on up can certainly learn from it. It is not graphic. I didn't particularly like the way the "chapters" were presented, with the sketchy b/w, but still overall an excellent and informative documentary. I am a bit surprised that it is not showing all over.
