As one of the younger members of the audience last night, I was delighted to experience the
enthusiasm of the long time fans of this great film. This was only the second time I'd seen Casablanca, and the first time I'd seen a classic movie on the big screen. I need not critique the film, I wanted to comment on my experience. I watched this movie at the CineBistro in Hyde Park in Tampa, and their theater and amenities are great, and certainly helped in the overall experience, but I thought the presentation fell a little short. The movie was presented through a satellite feed from Dish Network, probably in a 1080p format. The image was clear, but the audio was a little weak. I believe the viewer could have benefited from a 2k or 4k transfer. The satellite feed certainly had it's problems. At two different points in the film, the image was lost due to interference, the second time for a good 2 minutes. For $12.50 a show, it should've been presented with the quality of other Fathom events.
