I am both a movie and traditional comic book fan. Going into this movie my expectations were so overgrown it was impossible to have it live up to my own vision. Upon first seeing the way this third installment into Christopher Nolan's Bat universe unfolded I was initially like most, disappointed. However, given time to allow my mind to wrap itself around his vision instead of mine, I only find it's likability infecting me more and more. Begins and the Dark Knight had the feeling of stand alone movies in a created world and Rises has the difficult task of past referencing and completing stories that were never originally written to have sequels. If you are a die hard fan of this franchise you will either pick it apart for it not being what you wanted or revel in the glory of one mans original vision on a character he wanted to tell his own version of the story with.
