I thought the movie was really engaging up until...i'm guessing the last third of the film. I may
have to watch it again, but the whole post-quarantine facility portion of the film felt somewhat aimless. I don't think half of what goes on after that point was necessary. Since I enjoyed the majority of the film, a so-so is the best rating I can give it.
Watched it once, and that's about all I'm going to need. Movie had a few good things going for it
(set design, inventive kills). But the cheap scares (OOOO loud noises are so scary), the moments of wince-inducing acting/dialog, and it's evolution into "Jack Bauer vs. The Supernatural" ended up ruining it for me.
This would've made a better episode (or two) than feature length film. Don't get me wrong, I don't
think the movie was bad, but now that the TV series is over I think Chris Carter needs to focus on something that will move the series mythology and it's character's forward. This film seemed to only serve as a way to dust off the characters and have them work on their relationship.
