A travesty. Gatsby is not the greatest in the world, but this production misses the point entirely. All glitz and glitter, none of the nuances of the book ( or previous productions). Zero Dark Thirty is a gripping tale told well. The cast is excellent, although Jessica Chastain is not quite believable as the CIA agent Maya. The movie is about 20 minutes too long, but is well worth seeing. ...(read more)
Marigold is a delightful, well acted, funny, warm story of retired people moving to India to save money. The human element is real and the cast is superb, led by Judy Dench and Maggie Smith? The view of India is a bit stylized(I have lived there), and talks about, but doesn't really show the chaotic assault on your senses that characterizes India. But that is a small niggle in the midst of a most entertaining story. Highly recommended. ...(read more)
