Bruce Willis is still his wisecracking, one-liner dropping, tough as nails, John McClane self. The action is over the top and frenetic, and may over load the senses, but it is so formulaic that it feels dull. The car chase sequence is amazing, but the rest of the shot 'em up is so bland that you are just sitting there watching things blow up, waiting for the movie to end, and when it ends, it just ends. Also to mark the 50th anniversary of Bond films they make sure to drop a number of tributes to the history that came before Daniel Craig's run like Connory's original Aston Martin, the reintroduction of Bond staples like "Q" and Moneypenny and the use of a few overtly placed one-liners. Must Go! ...(read more)
