I took 4 children to this movie (ages 9, 8, 6, 4 & 3). They all LOVED it! The 3 year old lost
interest towards the end as the "funny action" decreased and the "talking" increased. This adult also enjoyed it.
I was ambivalent about going to this movie, but am glad that my friend urged me to attend. It was a
thoughtful and exquisite movie. Meryl Streep is once again amazing!!!! And, the brief screen appearance of the mother of the black student was heart wrenching.
Loved Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman was fair to poor. The aboriginal boy who was also the narrator
stole the picture. The outback sights make you want to go to Australia, but not in the dry season. I agree with the Critics that there were two endings in the movie, but that is okay. the bombing of the city seemed like a "bad 1940s film".
