I've always enjoyed movies in the Bond franchise, but this was just spectacular. It was moving, powerful, and fantastically well done. From the moment the movie started until it ended, I was completely captivated and I sincerely enjoyed it in its entirety. I also must admit that I wasn't sure about Daniel Craig at first when he took up the James Bond mantle, but he completely made a fan and supporter out of me with this performance. I thought this movie did a great job of adapting the books for the screen. There was a lot of great character development, and even if you haven't read the books (like my friends), it will take you for an emotional ride. The movie is good for teens and adults, maybe even mature pre-teens. The violence wasn't gratuitous and they kept the gore to a minimum whenever possible. The only advice I have is: 1) Keep an open mind if you have read the books because the movie comes up with some interesting ways to fill the non-book-reading audience in on key plot points. 2) Don't sit too close to the screen if you can help it because there are quite a few times when the camera is hand-held and it's a bit of a bumpy visual ride. ...(read more)
