Jeremy Piven wears old in about 15 minutes. His stereotypical character borderlines between a self
parody and entertaining. For the first 15 minutes entertaining. I loved him in Very Bad Things but he had a real cast in that film. This film looked like a bunch of undiscovered wannabee actors living together in LA got up one day and said "lets make a movie" and someone with more money than sense paved the way.
The problem is Piven cannot carry a film on his single dimensioned brash "type." He has become a parody of himself. Even in Entourage his scenes are few enough to make them powerful and funny and balances buy a great cast of characters. Unfortunately this film is not of the same ilk. Piven is a supporting player not a star vehicle. He is no Farrell.
I would pass on this film. In this economical environment there is not much sense in contributing to those who have much already and give even less back for our dollar. Wait a month for the DVD at the $5 rack at Wal Mart
