Kate is wonderful as Seline, lots of action
Hugo is the story of a young boy trying to find himself while working at the Paris train station,
inside the walls, fixing and winding the clocks. While working he is also trying to fix an automaton that his father found at his museum job. He's looking for a message from his dead father. Along the way he meets Georges Méliès (Sir Ben Kingsley) who is an embittered toy merchant and his goddaughter, Isabelle who helps him find some of the answers. Monsieur Labisse, a book merchant, points the way to the cinema library at the university, which provides some answers to why Méliès is so bitter. There is a happy ending and everyone lives happily ever after.
Sir Ben Kingsley shows his versatility in becoming Méliès as a young man and also an old man. Asa Butterfield (Hugo Cabret) also show a performance worthy of mention.
