I've read other posts about this movie and agree with some points. The facial movements were
"lacking" in flexibility (more like manikins) and the director could have made the end more emotional but I still rate it very high. Dicken's original script was followed pretty closely and why not----it's pretty much a wonderful story as it is so why alter it? And Carrey's voice-overs were great.
The visuals were very nice, at first, reminding me of looking through an old "View Master" I had when I was a kid. The sound in the digital, IMAX 3D theater was excellent!.
I especially liked this movie because it was a reminder of just exactly what Christmas means. (What's the reason for the season anyway) The director did not shy away from religious points, again, following Dicken's intent.
Others have criticized this movie because of its "scary" moments. I didn't find it upsetting but maybe a 5 year old would.
See the movie and leave with a smile on your face. I'd see it again.
