The movie overall was a great success in its showing in New York City, based solely on the fact that there were hardly any seats left by the time I showed up (7:30). Either way, I found the little clip of the sound actors quite enjoyable and realized I'll never picture Renji the same now when I picture who plays his voice. The movie itself was visually stunning, much enhanced graphics and a well-developped touch that is rarely seen in the regular tv series or the anime. The effects were very fluid and you could be well captivated by the action of the movie. The story was a bit lacking though, and although you get a shot of nearly every captain and vice-captain in the movie, there's still a feel that they rushed the enemies' background, and their motive was still unclear by the end of the movie (they just want to kill everyone including themselves to get revenge).
