Tyler Perry's depiction of Ntozake Shange "For Colored Girls who considered suicide when the
rainbow is enuf" , is a colorful and powerful portrayal of black women's struggles. Tyler Perry's ability to fuse Ntozake's poems into dialogue was brilliant. Each woman represented in this film is real and we either know one or all of them personally or have experienced it all ourselves individually. This film shows that with life struggles we face we can find the strength to breath again and move on. That in life we experience all types of tragic pain but can enjoy the bonds of womanhood that can develop from that pain as well. The ensemble cast is put together well. This film is for us, by us and it is worth seeing. Tyler Perry taps into something deeper than his other films but does not fail to put the humor into the characters that we may know. This film has deep content and is not meant to be overlooked. It is not for kids. This film is Oscar Worthy!!! Go see it!!!!
