Scully's reaction to Father Joe was completely over the top and UNBELIEVABLE. She
knew his story before she ever went with the FBI to see him. Her confrontation with him provided no information for the investigation and showed viewers nothing so much as Scully's appallingly bad manners.
Mulder's pedophile jokes were rude, crude, ignorant, and stupid.
The entire story could have been a normal 1-hour episode. It didn't need the expanded movie length or format. The writing was inconsistent, the pacing much too slow and draggy. The humor that was such a hallmark of the TV show was missing - I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times I laughed out loud.
Summary: Boring piece of trash that doesn't deserve to be called "X-Files." Chris Carter should be ashamed of himself.
I give it a negative 1 star and recommend that you wait until it hits broadcast tv - you'll appreciate the commercial breaks.
