Settings, action, style are very similar to the LOTR movies, however, this movie differs in good and not so good ways. The acting felt more natural and there were quite a few laughs. The story itself is a bit more up beat and that came through with the character interaction. The action scenes were very familiar and at time felt a bit over the top based on the size of the groups going against each other. There was one scene that felt disjointed in scenery, but still flowed. Overall, the nearly three hours of viewing went by at a pace that felt no more than two. For those that know the story, you will be left wanting for the next installment. Those that are new, might find themselves left hanging at maybe not the best stopping point. ...(read more)
