I watched the trailer and knew it was going to be good and I was proven correct. The effects were great. It didn't hurt that the movie is located in the city i live in. The movie kept me interested the whole time. There were some parts that made me tear up. A couple of laughs here and there but mostly action packed scenes. I'm glad I watched this movie because it was pretty good. It had many actors and actresses who I was familiar with. I actually liked the fact that there were a few storylines going on at the same time. The scenery was beautiful and made me want to go to NYC for NYE. This isn't a MUST SEE movie but if you are in the mood for loads of laughs then this movie will do. I was laughing every few minutes. I fell for the cheesy parts and thought they were pretty cute. I watched Valentine's Day and thought it was pretty good but NYE was defnitely the winner. I admit this movie was pretty ordinary but hey i liked it and that's good enough for me. Imo, this movie is targerted for teens to the 40s. Younger or older than the age range will probably have better luck with a different movie. ...(read more)

I watched the trailer for this movie and thought it was going to be funny but it turned out to be the boringest movie I've ever watched. It started out bland and I hoped it would get better but it didn't. There were the a few chuckles in this movie but that was it. It was so bad that I left to watch something else. I was so disappointed and embarassed because I was the one who chose this crap movie and made six other people watch it. ...(read more)
