THe Lorax is one of those films to which you go only because you have kids or grandkids.
Surprisingly this film delivered a quite meaningful message with humor and a final tug at the heartstrings. The voice actors did a quite creditable job of making a cartoon breathe with life, not caricature. If you don't have kids or grandkids you might opt not to go, but if you do, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

An intensive and extensive study of a family ten years (or so) after a shattering loss. Best
categorized as a study of 'closely observed behavior' it does not pander, but rather sets a high bar for the audience to clear.
All the acting is first-rate; the editing, however, was more permissive than precise. A film I do not regret experiencing, but the long, slow passages could have been reduced, and in so doing would have made the film even more involving.
