First problem with this film is the dialogue is completely unintelligible. The actors mumble and
whisper most of the time and when they are speaking loudly, it's in an incomprehensible dialect.
Second problem is continuity. The plot lurches from place to place in time with litlte or no clue as to what's going on or what happened.
What ever possessed Anne Hathaway to appear in such junk?
A really terrible flop of a movie...boring, overlong, really not much more than a string skits
hooked together by a flimsy implausible plot. The characters are flat and one-dimensional and there is not a single funny line in the entire mess.I found myself checking my watch after about an hour. Jack Nicholson looks like they woke him up from his crypt to recite his lines. Christ Jack, Rest in Peace!!!
I went expecting another Jennifer Annison chick flick that my wife forced me to see but I was
pleasantly surprised. There was considerable chemistry between Ms Annison and Mr Bateman, the plot was clever, and the amusing. A relatively painless way to spend an evening.
