Great movie for all. Lots of fun to watch; plenty of laughs. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Excellent movie. Held your attention all the way through. Interesting look at the Wallace Simpson nonsense and the reasons "Bertie" had to become king. Informative sidelights on the attitudes held by various players related as to whether England should enter the war. It's a good thing "Bertie" became king. He and his family really did help to hold England together during some very tough times. Unfortunate his doctors advised him so badly about cigarettes, which eventually killed him. Excellent job by each of the main caracters. Very difficult potrayals done exceptionally well. Should hold anyone's interest that has any curiousity in that era. How badly even a king can suffer from stuttering; how a loving wife was determined to find him help. and how help came from the least imaginable person. ...(read more)
