I had been looking forward to this movie for a while because I had read the series. Overall, I think that they did a good job and I enjoyed it. I think Amandla Stenberg (Rue) and Lenny Kravitz (Cinna) were absolutely fantastic in this. Even though they didn't get as much screen time as I would have liked. I also think that they should have shown a lot more action because it IS suppose to be about teenagers fighting to the death but I understand that they probably wanted a low rating so younger kids could go see it. I'd definitely reccomend that if you do see this movie, don't see it in IMAX. It wasn't worth the extra cash I shelled out because of the already jerky camera movements. ...(read more)

Super 8 was HANDS DOWN the best movie I have seen in a long time. From the cinematography to the acting to the special effects, EVERYTHING WAS ON POINT. It wasn’t a movie where everything was overdone to the point of cheesiness. It was suspenseful, it had me on the edge on my seat ( I jumped and screamed at times, it was so tense). I could easily rate this as the best movie of the year. I mean really, who knew that Dakota Fanning’s little sister was a billion times the actress she is. And don’t even get me started on the cutest little boy I’ve ever seen who plays the lead (Joel Courtney). I am so so so so so glad I picked up the IMAX tickets instead of the regular ones. It was worth every penny. But hey what else do you expect from two geniuses like JJ Abrams and Steven Spielberg? ...(read more)
