What a movie! On one hand, how can so many people offer their lives up for so much cost to protect the rest of us from so much BS? The LAPD (as well as many other law enforcement agencies) need to be held to the highest honor for the jobs they do. The actors in this movie were excellent. I also thought the camera angles and perspective shots were fantastic. This was quite a cinematic experience and you need a strong stomach to handle the dark truth about America's inner city problems. An amazing movie. Visually stunning in it's scope and scary - all at the same time! If you remember how unsettling "Alien" was, this will put you right back in the same mindset. I loved it in 3D and IMAX. Scared the hell out of me a couple of times. ...(read more)

Let me say this, we enjoyed it. It was stupid mindless entertainment, but we enjoyed it. My wife and I are in our 60s, so we're old enough to remember some of the older, less cheeky versions of the theme. All things being it really was entertaining and fun. My favorite character was Cardinal Richelieu played by Christopher Waltz. ...(read more)
