Having seen Casablanca one hundred times (it seems, at least) it was great to see this great movie
as it was intended, on the big screen. There is really nothing that can be said about this movie that has not already been said, so the only thing that was different from so many prior viewings was the movie theater setting, with the audience, and bigger than life images on the screen it was a truly unique experience. I was actually hoping that the Robert Osborne (TCM) introduction would have been a little longer and in depth in order to give a better perspective to the players, studios, and times in which the film was made. What was provided, however, was very well done and interesting. Thanks TCM for this event. As a fan of the network, and the classic films generally, I look forward to future events as well.
