slightly dated, a decent offering of the original characters. While it is not required to be a fan
of the Tintin, with in certain points it does hellp to know of him. This is obviously where the friendship began for Tintin and the Captain. we never really get to know the genisis for Thompson and Thompson. I do dislike lines like "who is that? why everyone knows Tintin..." obviously not!) Aslo the 3D effects can be distracting at times, and under done at others. early adopters will have their issues.
Mr. Eastwood has a unique style, and take on how he looks at the world. His latest presentation on
the (part) of the life and times of John Edgar Hoover is an example of that. While there is much that is conjecture, there are some "facts" which he based his film of the late Director of the FBI.
But i will leave that to others to debate.
The film itself is well shot, with occasional issues of time shifting for the viewers. And he didn't address minor issues, either because he felt them to be unimportant or there was no need. What happened to Hoover's father, was he still living in the basement after all those years? What became of his niece, and why did we see the dinner with her? Minor details. If this is close to accurate, then it is too bad for J.Edgar. His paranoia (bestowed upon him in part by his mother) ruled his life.
By the way when did Ms. Dame Judy Dench drop the "Dame" from her name/title?
