Taking a page out of The Twilight Saga playbook (which actually took a page out of the Harry Potter playbook), Lionsgate today announced plans to break the film adaptation of the third The Hunger Games book, Mockingjay, into two movies.  In doing so, Lionsgate ensures that it will have Hunger Games sequels in theaters through 2015.

Veteran actress Jena Malone is now in talks for Johanna Mason, wrestler-turned-actor Kevin Nash is rumored for Brutus and Romeo Miller (aka Lil' Romeo) recently had a meeting with Lionsgate for an unspecified role.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire looks to be far from selecting their Finnick Odair, the heartthrob from District 4. Producer Nina Jacobsen told the L.A. Times that "we've not narrowed things down by any means" and said that Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund, who were rumored for the role, are not in contention.
